Our Story
Born in Ranchi.
Built for India.
Planedge Architect was founded in Ranchi, Jharkhand, out of a conviction that India deserves world-class design that speaks its own language. We set out to bridge the gap between global contemporary aesthetics and the rich, diverse cultural context of the Indian subcontinent.
Over a decade, we have grown from a local studio to a multi-disciplinary practice — designing residences, commercial spaces, interiors, and landscapes across eight states. Every project, regardless of scale, carries the same rigour, curiosity, and craft that defined our first.
Architecture is not a
product —
it is a relationship.
We believe the best buildings are born from deep listening — to the client, the site, the climate, and the culture. Our role is to synthesise all of that into spaces that are functional, beautiful, and enduring.
This is not a transactional process. From the first conversation to the final handover, we are invested partners in realising your vision at its highest potential.
Design Philosophy
Tradition as a
Design Resource.
We do not treat Indian architectural heritage as an aesthetic to be applied superficially. Instead, we study its spatial logic, its response to climate, its use of materials, and its understanding of community — and we translate these principles into contemporary form.
A Planedge building may look entirely modern, but it breathes the way a traditional courtyard house breathes. It connects to its street the way a haveli connects to its neighbourhood. The soul is always Indian.

Every project begins with an in-depth briefing — understanding not just what you need, but how you live, how you work, and what matters to you. We then research the site, develop multiple design concepts, and refine relentlessly until the solution is right.
From concept through working drawings, material selection, contractor coordination, and site supervision, Planedge is present at every stage — ensuring that the built outcome matches the design intent.
